There is conference organised by Statistics Austria on October 4th on dogitalisation and statistics. I will be on one of the panels.

Retrospect

Brussels

I was in Brussels doing work for the ERC, visited the "Palais de Justice” that looks even scarier than usual.

Brussels is much too warm (allowing to sit outside in a T-shirt at the end of September), busy and noisy as always; poverty on the streets is possibly even more visible than before.

ERC is the best organised research funding programme I know.

The Atomium needed some cleaning.

The “Legal Tech Hackathon” that I had the privilege to invent and co-host together with my friend Heimo Hirner and our teams was rewared with a Federal Prize of excellence by the Austrian Ministry of Education.
