Welcome!

My name is Nikolaus Forgó. I am, as my LinkedIn profile says, a European, Lawyer, Teacher, a Geek with a Passion for Technology, Philosophy, Running and Food, father of two, husband, owner of the worlds cutest dog, Daisy, and a writer. My main profession is to be a professor of law at University of Vienna and to be the head of the world's most wonderful university department.

I think, write and speak mainly about digitalisation and the law, in particlar data protection, information security, artificial intelligence.

This is (somehow) my personal diary. It's about my professional life, but also about personal learnings and interests. I aim to give you - and me - an overview on how a life as an academic looks like today. It's about music I hear, books I read, people I meet, laws I try to understand, etc.
